Elaina Marie Henderson

ELAINA MARIE HENDERSON, 53, died Saturday, May 24, 2008, at her home on Golden Lake. She was born on Dec. 1, 1954, in Auburn, to Lewis and Blanche (Keller) Messmann. She worked at the Waterloo Head Start, then drove a bus for the Children First Center for 10 years. She then drove school bus #3 for the Northeast Indiana Co-op. She attended Community Church of the Nazarene in Angola. She was a member of the Waterloo V.F.W. Ladies Auxilary, an avid gardener, and loved to fish and spend time with her grandchildren. She married Ray Henderson on May 27, 1972, in Waterloo; he survives. Also surviving are her mother; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ray Jr. and Christina Henderson of Pleasant Lake, Joseph Henderson of Auburn and Mark and Angie Henderson of Waterloo; daughter and son-in-law, Windy and Travis Kemp of Garrett; seven grandchildren, Cayla Collins, Mattie Collins, Dakota Kemp, Autumn Henderson, Ashlyn Henderson, Ava Henderson and Brittany Henderson; and two brothers, Ron Messmann and Thomas Messmann, both of Waterloo. She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Roger Messmann. Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo. Pastor Randy Marshall officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials to American Cancer Society.
