ELLEN SCHERER Obituary

ELLEN JANE (COFFEY) SCHERER, 62, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her husband, David B Scherer; brother, William S. (Margaret) Coffey and his sons, Scott and Thomas; daughter, Lauren E (Justin) Geeting; and grandchild, Judah A. Geeting with baby girl Geeting due this August. She asked for nothing special in the end... no fanfare, no funeral, not even an obituary. "As someone who struggles with authority and rules much like Ellen herself, I'm doing something anyway. MS may have stripped her of her legs and her beauty, and eventually her mind but I ask those that knew her to remember young beautiful vibrant Ellen. Remember her gorgeous face and her tenacity for life, her energy and her big heart. I pray she has found peace and I will choose to only remember the good times. I Love you Mom."

Rest in peace my friend. I will always remember you as such a vibrant force, both in my life and the lives of others. It is not too often that you find one of those friendships that come so easily or withstand the test of time. Ours was indeed one of those. Months or years could go by, but we always were able to pick up where we left off and move forward. You were a BIG part of my life and the whirlwind that was so you will be missed. There are so many memorable moments, many of which I will keep to myself, but I will fondly remember the times we laughed until we cried and the solemn times where you were there for support, love, and friendship. You will forever be in my heart.
