I'm so unimaginably sorry for your loss. Eric was one of most enjoyable people I have had the privilege of knowing. He had a kind heart and truly loved his family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Alice & Trent Swett

It's been too many years since I've seen that smile (or was it a smirk?) on Eric's face. He had a heart as big as all outdoors, which is where he preferred to be. He must have inherited his playfulness from his mom and dad, Ellen and Michael. When visiting their cabin in northern Indiana, we were out in a boat together and I asked Eric to row his brother, Tad, and me across the lake. He didn't complain, but halfway through the effort, Eric took the paddle and with a backward flick, splashed me good - soaking me to the skin. I didn't know a young boy could laugh so hard or be so devious. He said something about someone needing a bath.
It's been too many years since I've seen Eric. Now I see him in all his goodness and glory, and forever will.
