Florine E. Paff

1926 - 2025

Florine E. (Coles) Paff, 99, of Leo, Ind., passed away on December 1, 2025, She born on January 7, 1926, in Fort Wayne to the late Eugene and Audrey (née Wasson) Coles. Florine graduated from Spencerville School, Class of '43. Following graduation, she went to work for Lincoln National Insurance Company where she would meet her future husband, Wayne J. Paff, over lunch at a neighborhood cafe. On October 5, 1946, Florine married Wayne, and together they raised three children. Their marriage was a testament to their deep love and commitment to each other. She would go on to work at Grabill Hardware, retiring in 1995.

A faithful member of Grabill Missionary for nearly 70 years, Florine, alongside Wayne, dedicated over 40 years to teaching two-year-olds in the church. Her faith and devotion were evident in all aspects of her life. In her free time, she loved to crochet and tended to her flower garden with care. However, it was the time spent with family that Florine cherished the most. She was known for her selfless and gentle nature, touching the lives of many through her work and personal endeavors.

Florine is survived by her children, Mike (Cathy) Paff and Kim (Gary) Brown; daughter-in-law, Rose Bebee; grandchildren, Natalie (Todd) Burow, Kelly (Nate) Heffelfinger, Megan (Tommy) Payton, Jonathon (Jacquelyn) Scherer, and Jeffrey Scherer; great-grandchildren, Alexis (Braden), Owen, Jarin, Teegan, Tenley, Stella, Stetson, and Scottie; and great great-grandchildren, Sunny and Sterling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne J. Paff; son, Rae L. Paff; and sisters, Helen (Paul) Crothers and Marion (Don) Opdycke.

Funeral Service is 3 PM, Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Grabill Missionary Church, 13637 State St, Grabill with calling two hours prior. Interment at Leo Memorial Park, Leo.

Florine's life was a testament to her faithful and selfless spirit leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication to her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
