GEORGE KIRKPATRICK Obituary

GEORGE L. KIRKPATRICK, 80, of Jefferson Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at his home. He graduated from Churu busco High School in 1951 and retired in 1989 from Dana Corporation in Fort Wayne after 37 years. He and his wife had also operated a PlasterCraft business from their home since 1979. He was past secretary of the National PlasterCraft Association, and enjoyed hunting, puzzles, camping, mowing, and especially his family. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Barbara Jean (Crooks) Kirkpatrick; children, Randy (Chris) of Ligonier, Steve (Dee Dee) of Albion, Tim (Janet) of Greenfield, Carol (David) Richter and Dennis (Jennifer), both of Albion, and Ginny (Todd) Jenkins of Fort Wayne; brother, Robert of Albion; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Florence (Rodian) Kirkpatrick; sisters, Edna Bixby and Mary Herendeen; and brothers, Edward, Frank, John, and Charlie. Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Regan Ford officiating. Calling also from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial in Rehoboth Cemetery, south of Albion. Memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or Chain O' Lakes State Park for Stanley Schoolhouse.
