GOLDIE APPLEGATE Obituary

GOLDIE R. APPLEGATE, 97, of Hightstown, N.J., died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at Merwick Rehabilitation Hospital and Nursing Care Center, Plainsboro, N.J. She was born and raised in Adams County, Ind., she later moved to Hightstown , N.J. in 1946 when she married her beloved husband, Thomas after the War. She was a longtime member of both the First Baptist Church of Hightstown, N.J. and the Hightstown, N.J. Women's Club, and a dedicated volunteer at the Hightstown, N.J. YMCA. She is survived by her sister, Isabelle Clark; and a large extended family including many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Godfrey and Regina Reinhard; her beloved husband, Thomas Applegate, Jr.; her brothers, Albert and Walter Reinhard; her sisters, Viola Sinn, Eva Simmerman-Reiger, Emma Pennington, Estella Pettibone Kraus, and Marguerite Heiser. Graveside service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown, N.J. There will be no calling hours.
