HARLAN SCHULTZ Obituary

HARLAN A. SCHULTZ, 79, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015. Born in Havelock, Iowa, Harlan was a graduate of South Side High School Class of 1954 and served with the U.S. Army from July 31, 1957, and was honorably discharged on Jan. 1, 1962. He served overseas in Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia. After returning to the United States, Harlan worked with Dr. Carlton Keck in Ophthamology at the Duemling Clinic and later with Dr. Robert Larmore at Aboite Eye Care PC. Harlan was an avid Bears and Cubs fan and he loved to dance. Surviving are his soulmate, Helen Hoover; father, Frank (Jean) Schultz of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Dana (Steve) Lehman, Lisa (Rick) Schaefer and Lori (Mike) Hamilton, all of Fort Wayne, Gina Schultz of Indianapolis, Ind., and Nina (Rob) McDonald of Dallas, Texas; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Cheryl) Schultz of Fort Wayne and David (Sandy) Schultz of Greenfield, Ohio; sister, Sharon Reynolds of Las Vegas, Nev. He was preceded in death by mother, Shirley Schultz. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with Pastor Richard Pagan officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to The Rescue Mission, Fort Wayne.
