Mother Bledsoe & Family: We will continue to pray for you and your family. Pastor Bledsoe will always be in our memories. He was loved by so many people and we were blessed by the sermons that he delivered to St. John. Mother Bledsoe, we love you and you will always be our first lady. You are an inspiration to all. Thank You for sharing Pastor Bledsoe with us. Pastor Bledsoe was a humble man of God, an advocate for education, a scholar, a person who stood for the rights of all. There are not enough words to describe how we felt about Pastor Bledsoe. To God be the Glory.

To Mrs. Bledsoe and the Bledsoe Family,
I remember when Rev. Bledsoe first came to St John Baptist Church. I remember he preached his first sermon as the new pastor on that Palm Sunday. I was the first person to join St. John under his leadership. I was eleven years old.
One of my most memorable sermons that Rev. Bledsoe preached was that of a man who died and went to heaven. While St. Peter was taking the man on a tour around heaven they came upon he “Heavenly Storehouse.” While looking around the storehouse the man came across several packages with his name on them. The man asked St. Peter what was in the packages? St. Peter told the man that those were the blessing that God had in store for him, but he never asked for them.
I pray that when I go on my tour of the Storehouse I hope not to find very many packages with my name on them. But I know there is one big package that will not be there. That is the package that held the blessing of having Rev. Bledsoe in my life. And I thank God for such a wonderful Gift.

To the entire Bledsoe family, my prayer is for your peace at this time of sorrow and to realize that this was truly a God sent Pastor who performed his duties well and fullfilled his assignment. From the moment that we became aquainted he was the same Spirit filled friend and brother on each encounter. I will truly miss my brother but when God has completed His roll call and we all shall meet in that great gettin morning oh what a time. Until then, be blessed and stay with God. My heartfelt sympathy in the passing of a very special leader in the city of Ft Wayne and in my persoanl life. It was my privilege to pray with my brother, Jim, monthly as a corp of pastors met in the Window Garden Room. He also spoke at an inter-racial conference at the Broadway Christian Church, teaching us how to realte to one another. A dear friend and mentor. II Samuel 3:38- "Do you not know that a prince and great man has fallen this day in Israel?"

Dear Sister Bledsoe and family,
I looked up to the Rev. Bledsoe and felt the influence of his wisdom, strength and love the years we served on the board of Associated Churches together. I have come to St. John's for the Good Friday services the past 7 years--and will be there today--because of the faithfulness to Christ that Rev. Bledsoe lived daily. I want to publicly thank God for Rev. Bledsoe's ministry to ALL the people of Ft. Wayne. He was truly God's faithful servant and I know he is hearing God say, "Well Done". May the love of Christian friends and the peace of Christ through the Holy Spirit comfort and bless you and heal the pain of your personal loss.

To the Bledsoe Family: I remember growing up and going to the little church on Smith and Thayer St. when I was a little girl and I also remember all of my sister and I being baptized by Rev. Bledsoe. I remember my Mother the late sister Louise Thomas taking us to Sunday School and Sunday morning services for years untill my adult years, which I remained a member for many years. Rev.
