JAMES McBRIDE Obituary

JAMES "JIMMY" McBRIDE BROOKS, 36, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016. He was born March 27, 1979, in Fort Wayne. Surviving are his parents, Donald and Cindy Brooks of New Haven; children, Ila Garrison, Aleaha, Zoey and Khloey McBride of St. Joe; siblings, Tim Brooks of Fort Wayne, Andy (Renee) Brooks, Carlie (Kristian) Mutzfeld of Woodburn and Madelne McBride of Texas; mother of his children, Ramona Oliver-Garrison of St. Joe; biological parents, Patrick McBride of Montana and Brenda Selzer of Texas. Service is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, with calling from 4 to 6 p.m. prior of service. Burial at Catholic Cemetery. www.sloanandsonsfuneralhome.com

Cousin Jimmy, I can't believe your gone. I didn't even know until a few minutes ago when I came across your moms post on facebook. You know I don't see the family much but you were one of very few I kept in contact with. You and I were close. I can't believe your gone. I guess I just assume we live forever and then God takes what belongs to Him. But I know there is life after death so I will only remember you in the living because your really not gone to me. You live on through memory and family and reunite one at a time. I'll miss you but I know your having fun in Heaven. I can't wait to see you again. Save me a spot in your new beautiful home. Jimmy took an interest in and could converse easily with anybody. He took excursions through the fields to the creek with younger cousins in tow, played basketball with his aging uncle, frolicked in the surf with his siblings at Bethany Beach, and attended to his elderly grandmother. His premature death is tragic, but he lives in the memories of all of us who he loved. Aunt Carol and Uncle Peter (Bethesda, MD), and Cousin John (Cambridge, MA)

jimmy my boy, miss you already. I hope you are settled in heaven and watching over your best friend bobby. I'm happy you was a part of my life and my families. we all loved you , I know you wasn't my son but I thought of you as my son. I know you loved me as your mom. I don't regret knowing you no matter what had happened. I have never met a young man like you with such a big heart full of love. please be in peace and be happy. the Zimmerman and Wiseman families love you now and forever. I love you son, every time I go in my kitchen I think of you and bobby working so hard to get it done, you both did a wonderful job. I'm gonna miss your goofy little laugh and everytime you would come in our home you would say hi mom I love you we will get your kitchen done today.
