James Till

1945 - 2024

James "Jim" Till, 78, of Fort Wayne, IN, peacefully passed away on April 13, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born May 19, 1945, in Fort Wayne to John and Jean Till. Jim retired from Slater Steel and INDOT. He was a long-time parishioner of St. John the Baptist and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeanette (Sarrazine) Till, daughter, Cristina (Gordon) Hathaway of New Haven, sons, Robert (Ann Marie) of Ft. Wayne, Richard of New Haven, John of Durham, NC, Thomas (Mary) of New Haven, Michael (Kathleen) of Ft. Wayne, and David Till of Ft. Wayne; 22 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 8 siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Michael; and sister Patricia. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Ft. Wayne, with a Rosary beginning at 3:30 p.m. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery, Ft.
