Jesse R. Jauregui

Jesse R Jauregui, 65, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away peacefully October 24, 2024, in the presence of his long term guardian Anne Martin. Jesse was born in Fort Wayne on June 30, 1959 to Jesse and Ella Jauregui.

Jesse lived at the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center for many years and then moved to a special needs home. He attended Fort Wayne Community Schools (Anne was one of his teachers) and he worked at the AWS workshop for 34 years.

He had many people and friends in his life and he loved them all. He loved to play basketball, go bowling, write in his notebooks, hang out with his roommates and watch TV. Jesse also participated in the Special Olympics. He loved watching Colts football wearing his favorite shirt and hat. He had 12 Colts shirts to choose from.

His favorite restaurant was McDonalds where he had a cheeseburger, fries and a diet Coke.

Jesse is survived by his guardian Anne Martin and her family: Patty Wyman, Chuck Wyman, Catherine Wyman, Elizabeth Wyman, John Martin, Tracie Martin, Aly Sampson Madeline Hussey and Chris Welling.

Jesse's smile will be missed by his many friends and family. The family dinners will not be the same without Jesse.
