JOAN GRABLE Obituary

JOAN M. GRABLE, 79, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Huntington, went into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, 4:03 a.m., in Leo. Joan was a 1953 graduate of Lancaster High School. She attended Ivy Tech Community College and she attended The Chapel in Fort Wayne. She was employed by Supermarket Service Corporation in Fort Wayne for 20 years. Born Nov. 12, 1935, in Huntington County, she was a daughter of Wilbur and Mary (Drabenstot) Hosler. She was united in marriage to E. Dean Grable on Jan. 9, 1955, in Huntington County; he survives. Additional survivors include two daughters, Deanne M. (Dr. Ronald) Baker of Fort Wayne and Denise M. (Dave) Beers of Columbia City; a sister, Lois (Harold) Bowman of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Daryn Baker, Derrick (Christina) Baker, Danielle Beers, and Megan Beers; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Baker. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Carol J. Snyder. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2015, with visitation one hour prior, at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, Ind. Pastor Johnny McCallister officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015, at the funeral home. Interment in Lancaster Cemetery.
