JOAN HARTWIG Obituary

JOAN A. HARTWIG, 84, passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, in Fort Wayne. Born in Botkins, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Knupke. Joan worked as an Avon sales representa tive for over 40 years. She was a member of Our Hope Lutheran Church of Hunter town where she loved to sing in the church choir. Joan is survived by her children, Gregory (Tammy) Hartwig of Fort Wayne, Tammy (Lyle) Jenkins of Fremont, Ind., and Jackie Schibley of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Marion Kuehnert of Woodburn, Ind. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, and two siblings. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Our Hope Lutheran Church, 1826 Trinity Drive, Huntertown, Ind., with calling one hour prior. I had the pleasure of knowing Joan for many years through selling Avon. We had many long visits and got to know her life history. I will treasure our friendship and remember Joan forever.
Joan is now singing with the angels and happy to be with Jesus.
