My prayers go out to all of Joe´s family. Joe was a great presence during our high school years. He was a great teammate to my brother Mark and me in football and wrestling. I really enjoyed his friendship. As a hard worker, their were several times when Joe got that ice bath right out there on a hot football practice field. My condolences to family and friends. I will miss Joe.

I only knew Joe as one of my students at Leo HS. But he´s one who left a lasting impression on this teacher. Always friendly and fun - a special kid then and obviously grew into a special adult.

Joe was always a gregarious, friendly presence...and I appreciated him for that! Joe was a senior on the football team when I was a freshman. He could have pounded me into the dirt...but he always made me feel like I was part of the team. I later came to appreciate that's just who Joe was. I'll miss knowing that he's not around. My sincerest condolences to his family and all those who appreciated him.
