JOHN KELLEY Obituary

JOHN WESLEY KELLEY, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022. Born in Auburn, Ind., he was a son of the late Charles and Minerva Kelley. John began farming at the age of 13 at his family farm in Auburn, Ind., after his father passed away. In 1964, he began his career in car sales with the Kelley Automotive Group, and later sold the family farm relocating to Fort Wayne in 1966. He worked in the Kelley Automotive Group for the next 50 years serving his community and making many friends along the way. John was a longtime member of Brookside Church. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, loved all sports, especially basketball faithfully cheering on I.U. and the Blackhawk Christian Braves. John is survived by his children, Kristine (Jim) Douglas and Charles (Wendy) Kelley, both of Fort Wayne, Steven (Lisa) Kelley of Nashville, Tenn., Lori (David) DeHaven and Mike (Kara) Kelley, both of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Kelley; son, Joesph Kelley; three brothers, and five sisters. Service is 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at Brookside Church, 6102 Evard Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the church.
