John Webb Obituary

JOHN R. "JACK" WEBB, 78, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, at Parkview North Hospital. He fought a brave and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 24, 1928, in South Bend. He was employed by the City of Fort Wayne for almost 17 years. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Surviving are his daughter, Janet (John) Walowich of Modesto, Calif.; two sisters, Mary (Ned) Schall of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and Dorothy Thomas, of Angola; one grandson, John Paul Walowich of Modesto, Calif.; one granddaughter, Jennifer Walowich of Modesto, Calif.; and seven nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marguerite Webb. To assist in the teaching of doctors and nurses, he chose to donate his body to the Indiana University Anatomical Education Program. Dad, it's almost been a year now. There are so many things I would love to share with you: J.P. now has a Harley, Jennifer is an awesome cheerleader, Mom is coming for Christmas, and I have a great new job, and of course, John is an awesome husband. I wish I could tell you this in person, but I know you are watching us and are loving and enjoying every minute of our lives. I love you and miss you Dad.

Jack was a great help to me in many ways, and a good friend. He always seemed to look for people he could help. I appreciated his friendship, his loyalty, and his strength during his struggle with cancer. My prayers are with his family now, as I know he is at rest in heaven.

I would like to express my sympathy to the family of John "Jack". I am a chemotherapy nurse at Fort Wayne Medical Oncology, and loved seeing John Jack's smiling face in the office. He will be missed by many.

This is a prayer for all Uncle Jacks friends and family:

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child,wife and husband. My Heart goes out to Janet and Nancy who has had a special bond with Jack (Father and Husband.} May the Memories of Jack stay in your hearts and minds.Jack was non-judgmentel and was one to help everybody he could. (Big Heart} He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
