JOHN S. ZOLLINGER

JOHN S. ZOLLINGER, 69, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born April 27, 1949, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Erwin and Ruth Zollinger. John was a salesman for Central Supply for 25 years. He served in the Army Reserves for six years. John was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and also served as the Youth Minister for 11 years, Scout Leader for six years, CYO Committee Member for two years and Catholics on a Mission, feeding the homeless in downtown Fort Wayne. John is survived by his son, Gregory (Alison) Zollinger of Brownsburg, Ind.; daughter, Katherine (Gabriel) Westerfeld of Lebanon, Ind.; sisters, Linda (Robert "Larry") Craighead of Fort Wayne and Carol (Daniel) Rosswurm of Rochester, Ind.; brothers, Richard (Cynthia) Zollinger of Columbia City, Ind., and James F. (Beverly) Zollinger of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Amaya Lee and Quinton G. Westerfeld, George Dalton and Layne E. H. Zollinger. John was also preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Zollinger. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
