We've known Mike and Joy from my first day in the Central Training Unit (CTU) at Lincoln Life many, many years ago. Joy was such an intelligent and kind person who was truly a joy to be around. Even when I left Lincoln after many years, we kept in touch and although it was only sporadic that we all saw each other, it was always a pleasure to get together. I have such great memories of her and Mike. I wish we had gotten together more often and we will always remember her.

Anyone that made my cousin Michael that happy must have been an extraordinary woman.

It was a very sad day when I heard that Joy Richey had passed away. I was a very good friend of her and her husband, Michael, and offer my deepest condolances to her family. As I remember her, she was a smart, very friendly person, concerned with whomever she came in contact or talked to and easily matched her name, Joy, with her demeanor whenever I or others were around her. Whenever I would see Joy at a local store, like Kroger's or Walmart or some other place, she would make sure to say Hi! and usually give me a compliment, usually not actually earned by me, but given just the same. It always seemed to cheer me up a little bit when she was around. With her latest health problems and her faith in God, I believe that she is now in a better place and at peace.
I will miss her.

I just want to take a moment to say how sorry I am to hear of Joy's passing. It's been a while since I have seen or talk to Joy or Mike. Please accept my sympathy from fellow Lincoln Lifer.
