I rejoice that Dr. Korby has had his faith turned to sight before the throne of the Lamb and his voice returned to him to sing, "Holy, Holy, Holy," amid angels, archangels and all the company of heaven.

I first met Dr. Korby when I was a college student at Mankato State University when he came to speak at St. John Lutheran Church in Rapidan, Minnesota to members there and college students from Campus Lutheran Chapel in Mankato. I heard him many times during college years before I started seminary and he was a tremendous positive influence upon me. I also remember fondly visiting Zion in St. Paul for services there. I also was glad in 1992 when our campus ministry library at Campus Lutheran Chapel in Mankato was named in his honor with Pastor John Pless preaching at the occasion and Rev. Mart Thompson serving as campus pastor in Mankato at that time.

I have been a pastor for almost ten years now and I rejoice in all that I have been taught from Dr. Korby directly and from those students of his who also have taught me. Both his directness and kindness as well as his faithfulness as a Lutheran pastor changed me much.

I rejoice that this saint by grace is at rest now in Christ.
