L. MOWAN Obituary

L. HELEN MOWAN, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022. Born May 2, 1930, in New Haven, she retired from Mag navox. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, Fort Wayne, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 499. She is survived by her children, Kenneth G. (Pam) Mowan Jr., Kay Lynn Haines, Gloria Jean (Dan) Straub, and Joyce Ann (Dennis) Brock; 13 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth G. Mowan Sr.; brother, Kenneth Wood; sisters, Betty Osterholts and Jessie Rosella Miller; grandson, Neal Padgett; and son-in-law, Bill Haines. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Heart to Heart Hospice. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the Mowan family at www.mccombandsons.com
