Maxine Knipstein Obituary

Maxine E. Knipstein, 93, entered heaven on January 27, 2025, She was born June 8, 1931, daughter of Theodore and Esther (Hockemeyer) Heine. She is survived by four daughters: Karen (Timothy) Krupski, Luann (Dan) Vachon, Janell (Bill) Vaughan and Susan (Tim) Imler. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur M. Knipstein on Dec. 10, 2020.

(NOTE VISITATION CHANGE) Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 2, from 4-7 and Monday, Feb. 3 from 9:30 to 10:15 with funeral following at 10:30 am. All takes place at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Emmanuel Lutheran. Arrangements by Zwick & Jahn Funeral Homes, Decatur, Indiana. www.zwickjahn.com

I worked with Maxine at Lutheran hospital and always thought of you as the nicest person I ever met. Even though I was miles and miles away I thought of you often. I hope that if you're son-in-law ever played any of my old albums for you ,you thought of me too. My heart goes out to your family.
