STAFF SGT. MICHAEL JOVAN RIGGINS

STAFF SGT. MICHAEL JOVAN RIGGINS, 32, departed this life Thursday June 24, 2021, in Fort Campbell, Ky. During his time in Fort Wayne, he graduated from Wayne High School in 2007 and enjoyed baseball and track while in school. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2006 and began serving in 2007 until the time of his passing. He was a Military Service Airborne and Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Samantha Riggens; and children, Joshua, Olivia, and Michael; his parents, George & Valerie Riggens; brothers, Jarod Riggens, Adrian Riggens; a special niece, Nyairah Riggens; in-laws Bob and Carolyn Likens; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Southern Heights Baptist Church, 4001 S. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne, Ind., with visitation two hours prior. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, Ind.
