Nancy Pops Obituary

Nancy Lou (Frey) Pops, 89, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on April 9, 2024, Beloved wife, mother & grandmother, Nancy Pops' life didn't come to an end with her passing. Nancy was born to Clarence & Grace Frey on Dec 10, 1934 in Bethlehem, PA. Many years were spent living in Pittsburgh, PA before eventually settling in Ft Wayne, IN in 1972. She is survived by her husband Horace, 3 daughters Frances, Karen & Jennifer and 1 grandson Derek.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Nancy. She loved a quiet evening reading a good novel on history with a glass of wine in hand. Nancy also liked to travel, whether it be visiting one of her 3 daughters around the country or back packing around Italy. Possessing a gentle, kind soul was one of Nancy's greatest assets. She gave much to help rescue animals in need. Her high school yearbook described her as being "Smart as a Whip" and indeed she truly was. She worked in healthcare for 21 years and was an avid sports fan. The Pittsburgh Steelers & Chicago Cubs were her favorite teams. Her generosity, selflessness & sharp wit will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be sincerely and deeply missed!

Her body will rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, but her spirit shall always soar. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Allen County SPCA.
