To the Frazier family, we wish to express our deepest sympathy to you about the passing of Pastor Frazier. He was the kindness most loving friend of the church and his members. Growing up in the church he helped our family many times and helped us learn the love God. It was great to later on reunite with him on having his grandson Grant in class at Cedarville Elementary. He loved his family as he loved his church. He is now with his Heavenly Father and many members of his flock. Thanks so much for sharing him with us . Peace be with you, Karen and Michael Christopher, Chad,Stacy and Kevin

Prayers and sympathy to the Frazier family. Pastor Frazier left a legacy not only in his family but at Trinity as well. His sermons always evoked a silent, Lutheran amen from me. I always looked forward to his reading of the psalm on Good Friday as the alter was being stripped. You totally believed him. On Christmas Eve, his reading of the Come Back to Bethlehem poem became a source of calming comfort in a hectic season.I was also amazed at his ability to remember my parents' names and where they lived even though they only visited a few times per year. I have no doubt he is now greeting all the saints by their names. He will be missed but always remembered as one of the great ones.

My sincere condolences to the Frazier family and Trinity English Lutheran Church. It was a privilege to be a member of the staff at TELC while Pastor Frazier was the Shepherd. He was a wonderful person and a great minister. He was there to shepherd his flock and showed his love of the ministry. Sally and family may you find peace and comfort at this time. May all of you draw strength from God and know he is with his heavenly Father. He will be missed. My prayers are with you.

Dear Fraziers,

Our family's memories of Pastor Frazier are long. Through my parents and grandparents, I heard wonderful stories about him as the youth pastor. Then I grew up at Trinity gaining inspiration from his sermons and a smile from his little snickers when he inserted something funny. Later, I learned about Trinity's progressive leadership in the community with religious and social matters. My dad enjoyed his service alongside Pastor as business administrator more than I could ever explain. Finally, my folks were so fortunate to be next door neighbors to Pastor and Sally. As my parents health declined, Pastor Frazier and Sally were there. I loved when Pastor would come by the house; his firm handshake and warmth could add grace and peace at much needed moments.

I am so sorry for your loss and wish you all much comfort and peace.

To the Frazier Family - Your husband, father and grandfather was a shining example of love for his fellow man and how to raise a great family. He was one of our most supportive audience members and it was always a pleasure to be in his company. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was received into this Congregation in 1986 by Pastor Frazier. My notable classmates included Pastor Haller and her families. 30 years have passed and I am now on my 3rd Senior Pastor.

I remember Pastor Frazier from my debates with him during the entrance classes. He never argued and my questions were always resolved. He will be missed.

Hello Sally and family. Your husband had a very special place within our family (The Chapmans) He was dearly beloved by all of us. He often inquired about family members he had not seen in years! He participated in my marriage (Sally Chapman Shriner Rhodes) to Allen ten years ago. He teased us through very loving comments, some not long ago. We will be out of town Friday and Saturday, but please know our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family. We will miss him! God bless you! Sally and Allen Rhodes

Pastor Frazier has a special place in my heart. He kindly agreed to speak in Lindenwood at my Grandmother's burial, even though the memorial was out of town. This meant more to me than he may have known. The most memorable of Pastor Frazier's time at Trinity, for me, was a when he filled in for another pastor one Sunday. When we still sang "Glory to you, oh Lord". It was the 9am service and the congregation had been rather quiet that morning. It came time for Pastor Frazier to give the gospel, Bob Hobby played a great intro and we all sang "Praise to you, oh Lord"...a bit softer than usual. Without missing a beat, Pastor Frazier looked around, turned to Mr. Hobby at the organ and said... "Let's try that again". That morning was the strongest I've ever heard the congregation sing.
He was able to connect with each person individually while speaking to the church as a whole. I'll remember his lessons and morals forever.

Dearest Sally, Anne, Katie, Cindy, Jane and Dan,

My Family and I loved your husband and Father, not only as our Paster, but as our friend and Mentor.
We were so blessed to come to Trinity and to meet him, as he saw us through almost 20 adult years of helping us know the Lord Jesus as our personal Savior: he saw me through Thyroid Cancer, our daughter's birth and baptism and my Father's death and funeral. It was our honor and privilege to know you, Sally and in the beginning of our marriage to care for your extraordinary children many times while you and Dick were out of town at Seminars and Conferences, etc......you all ARE shinning examples of Pastor Frazier's love and guidance!

While caring for the children, Gail and my prayer was
to keep them alive until you got home! Miraculously, that happened and even perpetuated our desire to have our own child......thanks for a peek into the world of parenthood !
Dick is treasured in my heart forever and I am grateful to you and your family as well! I know he's been referred to as one of the last real legends in ministry and I could not agree more. He was of the Lord and died of the Lord.
Love and prayers and comfort and peace to your entire family.......and to our dear Pastor Frazier "until we meet again - may your memory be eternal"

Pastor Frazier was a wonderful pastor and human being. His kind and gentle manner showed by example what a true Christian should be, and how they should act in the world. I will always treasure that he performed my wedding ceremony. He will be missed, but his presence will always be felt in the lives of all who knew him. May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.

Pastor Frazier raised and nurtured our family in Christian beliefs and traditions and we will miss him greatly. Many of my friends and peers will never forget Seventy Eighters on Friday night where PF made us all feel welcomed, valued and safe. We had so much fun. Our sympathies to Sally and all of the family of a great man.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Frazier family. He was the youth pastor at Trinity when my family moved to Ft.Wayne in 1957 and shared in many of our happiest and saddest times, even after his retirement. He will be fondly remembered.

Pastor Frazier was our family's pastor our entire lives. He has administered every sacrament to us and has come out of retirement to bury both our parents. I have loved him and Trinity always, and my strong faith is largely due to Pastor's teachings. No one will ever replace him or Trinity in my heart, and I send love and condolences to the entire family. He will be missed and, always, greatly loved.

Today, as is our tradition in the African-American Baptist Church, we must say "A Mighty Oak Has Fallen!" Dr. Frazier was, without question, one of the last of the legends. He, along with Dr. Clyde Adams who turned 100 years old last year, dared to work in a deliberate manner to dismantle the walls of racial segregation within their congregation. They dared to take a stand and forced their congregations hand, and went on to create a diverse harmonious Christian band. He was a gallant Christian statesman, a courageous preacher of the Gospel, and a undeniably visionary church leader. Noted Anglican scholar James I. Packer must have met Dr. Frazier along the way, because a quote from his bestseller - "A Passion for Faithfulness" - sounds like a lyric from his wonderfully lived life: "It is not fanaticism; it is not wildness; it is not irresponsible enthusiasm; it is not any form of pushy egoism. It is rather, a humble, reverent, businesslike, single-minded commitment to the hallowing of God's name and the doing of His will." It was a great honor to call him friend, and I can testify he was faithful unto the very end.

From baptisms and funerals to ballet performances, the Fraziers, and Pastor Frazier, have been there for every important part of my life. The best of friends, the warmest of hearts, and the kindest of souls. As much as he will be missed by so many, he was even more dearly loved and respected. God Bless you all. I grew up with Trinity in the 60's & early 70's. Many great memories of Pastor Frazier - his involvement in activities and later - his sermons. Always with just the right touch of humor - and not to just be funny - the humor was intertwined and on point with the message.
Thanks to the Frazier family for sharing him with all of us. I know my dad - Mort - always spoke fondly of Couples Club (Mort & Phyllis Douglass) - "back in the day" - good times decorating the church for Christmas... so I'm told thru stories :)
My sympathies and prayers to the family. He was a wonderful man.

I too have wonderful memories of PF and how much he meant to my family. He was there for the weddings, the funerals and most recently the baptism of my grandchildren. God's blessings to the Frazier family and the Church. Pastor Frazier will always be a part of the Trinity Family.

Lots of wonderful memories with Pastor Frazier. First memories were when he started at Trinity as the Youth Minister. He went ice skating, sledding and oh so many adventures with us teenagers. Remember "Seventy Eighters" . . . our teen club for many years. What fun we had! He also was the special minister that "married" us 53 years ago! He will long be remembered with love. Our condolences and prayers to each of you.

Growing up in the 60's at Trinity, I loved going to chapel and singing in the children's choir. As a teenager singing in the girl's choir, confirmation and my first communion. All with Pastor Frazier and his calming presence. He married John and I and baptized our 3 boys. He remarked during Ian's baptism that he had wanted to name Danny Ian but Sally overruled him, which brought a chuckle to the congregation. I'll miss the historical aspect of his sermons. What a wonderful blessing he has been to us all. Leslie, John, Ryan, Ian and Evan Wilson
