RUTH M. MUTTON

RUTH M. MUTTON, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015. Ruth was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Herman and Louise Lunz. She graduated from Elmhurst High School class of 1941. She worked at General Electric during World War II. She was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her children, Jim (Kathy) Mutton, Brent (Sue) Mutton, Bob (Linda) Mutton all of Fort Wayne and Janis (Steve) Goffinet of Lafayette; sister, Margaret Tryznka; sister-in-law, Helen Herman; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray J. Mutton in 1999; sister, Dorothy Ehresmann; and brothers, Herbert, Edward, Albert and Donald Lunz. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd., with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
