SOPHIE KOUBA DIWIS, 17, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, in Nairobi, Kenya. She was born on Dec. 21, 2004. She attended school at Canterbury High School, where she was entering her Senior year. She was baptized in the Catholic Church and her family worships at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish and First Assembly of God. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music, reading, traveling with her family, and playing volleyball. Surviving family include her parents, Durand and Rhoda Diwis; brother, Christophe Diwis; many uncles, aunts, cousins, and many other family and friends who loved her. She was preceded in passing by her paternal grandparents, Dieu Donne Wiss and Bernadette Kouba Wiss; and maternal grandparents, William and Stella Kithara. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Brotherhood Mutual Auditorium, 6400 Brotherhood Way, Fort Wayne (IN 46825). A private family burial will be in Fort Wayne.
