I was sincerely surprised and deeply saddened to hear of Steve's passing. We worked together for many years at Slater. Distinct memories we shared will remain forever etched in my mind. Steve was always tolerant of others, kind, considerate, and understanding. I do not remember any unkind words towards others from him while on the job. My heartfelt condolences to his father, mother, and other loved ones.

Steve, yes, what a great guy. We shared many days together on 2nd shift @ Slater. He always shared his gyro sandwiches with me and was forever joking about "let's move to Florida and open a bikini/surf pro shop. I loved Steve. He was always so caring and so much fun to be around. I am so sorry he is gone, so young, for his family, friends, and wonderful sweet Oz. Steve was the BEST! Love to you, Lora Strong

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Frappier and Family, We were so sorry and shocked to here about Steve. When I first meet my husband 29 years ago Steve was the first friend I heard about and the first to meet when coming to Indiana. I just want you to know he was the best right from the start. He had know trouble welcoming me into the fold of friends he always had around him just as my husband said he would. Please take peace in knowing that; all that had the good fortune of knowing Steve now has a new guardian angel looking over them. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love Lane & Lois Flitcraft

I will dearly miss my fondest friend Steve, The guy, when name's mentioned is nearly always followed by "he's a great guy with a huge heart". Steve possessed so many great attributes, He was a great friend, kind, smart, and caring. Did I mention he had a huge heart. I know Steve had a strong belief in God. He studied his bible often. I am glad for him, knowing he'll now be with with Jesus, where all pain and suffering of this world will be no longer. May God provide peace to the family and friends during the days ahead.
Steve, I will miss you so much.....I love you man.

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
