Dear Jan,

We were so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I know how you must be feeling. I am so sorry that I did not get over to see him. He was a good neighbor and I enjoyed talking with him when we were out watering. If you need anything, do not hesitate to call us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of sorrow.

Jan, Leslie and Family, I was so shocked to hear of Steve's death.
Our hearts are with you, I know you will miss him. Kelly is living in Florida, so I called her to tell her, she wanted Leslie to know she is thinking of her. She came home for the summer last year while her dad fought Cancer, so she somewhat understands. Take care.

Dear Jan and family,
I was sorry to hear of the loss of Steve. I was a new FBI agent in the late 60's and early 70's in Ft. Wayne and met him then. Steve was a fine law enforcement representative. May God bless you in this time of sorrow.

Dear Jan & Family, I got to know Steve when I worked in the carpet department at Ayres Southtown where he worked security. He was a wonderful guy and a lot of fun and talked lovingly of you and your family. The only comfort I can offer you is, rest assured he is with the Lord in a better place without affliction. May you press closer to God through this difficult time. Cindy Jewel

Dear Jan,
We are in Michigan now as you know, but I still watch the news online from Ft. Wayne. We were sorry to hear the news about your husband. As Christians we know that all of us who believe have a better home awaiting. I hope that can be a comfort to you at this time. God be with you. Maybe we'll see you some time in Ft. Wayne when we visit.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I was shocked when I read about Steve's passing. I worked in the Federal Bldg for 16 yrs so I used to talk to Steve a lot. Even though I haven't worked there for several years, I miss that unique sense of humor he had. He always made me laugh (even though sometimes I didn't quite get it). Please accept my condolences.
