Susan E. Aker

SUSAN E. AKER, 59, of Decatur, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Adams Memorial Hospital, Decatur. She was born on April 25, 1948, in Adams County, to Glen S. and Eileen (Griems) Bowman; they survive in Decatur. She married John B. Aker on July 25, 1970; he survives in Decatur. She worked at Lincoln Life for 11 years, and at Fort Wayne Community Schools for five years. She was also a lifelong homemaker. Also surviving are two daughters, Krissa Aker and Joni Aker, both of Decatur; and one granddaughter, Padin Grove of Decatur. Funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur. Rev. Whitney West officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Decatur Cemetery. Memorials to Adams County Heart Club.
