SUSAN V. SACHEN

SUSAN V. SACHEN, 86, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born July 5, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Clement J. and Dorothy (Freistof fer) Getty. Sue was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed flowers, bird watching, and endless snacks. Sue was quiet, tender hearted, brave, loving, and thoughtful. She was the sunshine of her family. She is survived by her husband, Ken Sachen; children, Karen (Traci) Goss, Tom (Holly) Goss and Julie (Todd) Wappes; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Geraldine Robb, Jean Weeks and Clem Getty. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Timothy; and sisters, Dorothy Hall, Ruth White, Rose Marie Smith, Lillian Shattuck, Virgilia Noll, Patricia Hughes, Rita Slater, and Irma Vanderbosch. The family would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to the staff of Kingston Care Center for the care and love of Susan.
