Amy Twombly Obituary

ALTON BAY — Amy Lynn Twombly, age 38, of Alton Bay, passed away Jan. 5, 2010.

Born Sept. 26, 1971, and raised in Rochester, Amy was the daughter of Robert C. Twombly, Jr. and Mary L. (Strachan) Twombly. Amy was a graduate of Spaulding High School, Class of 1989, and was trained as a veterinary technician.

She was previously employed as a veterinary technician and most recently was employed as a narcotics technician at Pharmerica in Concord.

Amy loved and respected all animals. She could "take anything apart and usually fix it," she enjoyed getting dirty ATV riding and working on her Mustang, but also enjoyed good hair days and a great fitting dress with kickass boots. She enjoyed lazy days watching movies and napping, or reading, quilting, or attempting to knit.

She is survived by a daughter, Alexandria B. Comeau, and a son, Griffin S. Comeau, both of New Durham; her parents, Robert C. Twombly, Jr. and Mary L. Twombly, both of Rochester; two sisters, Tammy R. and husband Marshall Irving of Exeter and Vicki R. Beaudoin and fiance Brian James of Wakefield; paternal grandparents Robert C. Sr. and Ruth Twombly of Nottingham; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to a memorial gathering on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, starting at 1 pm at her father's home at 7 Corson Street in Rochester, NH 03867.

To Amy's Family,
I was so deeply saddened to hear of Amy's passing. I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Amy as a young girl when she babysat for her neighbors daughter (Jessie)and my son (Sean). I was lucky to re-connect with her as a young woman/mother at my work in her Drs office. I then saw her at the Vets where she so lovingly cared for all of our pets. She was a lovely girl and will be truly missed. My deepest sympathy to you all.

Amy was a wonderful person who touched SO many peoples lives. My best to all who loved her. Treasure the memories, they will always be in our hearts. Time helps heal the ache but I dont think it ever goes away. I was fortunate to work with Amy at Foxy Johnnies. I remember her with a chef hat on searing steaks in the dining room at the pit. And the yummy desserts she use to make. She was a lot of fun. She will be sadly missed by so many.

Extremely sad news. I haven't seen Amy much since high school, but anytime a fellow classmate passes you can't help but feel you have lost a member of a special community. There is a certain bond that will always keep the class of '89 connected, and this loss is felt throughout. Amy was always a cheerful, upbeat person in high school and someone I considered a friend. My deepest sympathies go out to her family and to Amy, where ever you are, may you find peace.

I will miss seeing Amy. Whenever I ran into her at the vet's or out and about she always had a smile and a welcome for me as if I were a long lost sister. She would drag me "out back" at the vet's to see what work her Dad had done to the facility, or to show me her big black goofy dog who looked and acted just like one she remembered I'd had. Or I'd meet her at some event with her Mom selling homemade soap.

There were always proud stories of the kids and family news and an apt interest in what was going on in my world. I'll miss Amy's enthusiasm for life and for diving into living it to the fullest.

My sincere condolences to all the family.

Alex and Griffen
words cannot express the heart felt sorrow I feel for your family at a time when you need family most. Amy was a very compassionate and caring mom and loved you both with all her heart. The memories of the times with all of us together in New Durham are everlasting in my heart and the kids. Your mother was an incredible friend whom my family could depend upon when it came to delicate matters involving our four legged members of the family she so adored. Amy loved and understood the pets of the world and they loved her as we loved her for being so honest and trusting. The Lord has welcomed an Angel to heaven and the world has lost a great friend and fanstatic mother. She will always be with us in our hearts. Your mother has joined all the friends and family that have passed on before us and is greeted with open arms, she is not alone. Rest in peace Amy and thankyou for all you have done for my family.
