Doris Goerner Obituary
Born November 12, 1924, in Ogunquit, Maine the daughter of Goodale and Hazel (Pender) Dixon, she lived in Newfields since 1950. She was a librarian at the Newfields Public Library for 41 years.
Doris was the widow of the late Robert E. Goerner who died April 3, 1997. Her surviving family are her daughters Lois Klein and her husband Matthew of Fletcher, S.C.; Janet Rawn and her husband Jim of Durham, N.H.; her Granddaughters Susan Santy and her husband Chad of Alton, N.H.; Sara Perillo and her husband Todd of Belpasso, Italy; Maggie Fuentes and her husband Ed of Kearny, N.J.; Jessica Ward and her husband Brett of Farmington, N.H.; her Great Granddaughters Kendall Santy of Alton, N.H.; and Victoria Perillo of Tuftonboro, N.H.; her three sisters: Patience Dixon of North Berwick, Maine; Louise Ford of North Berwick, Maine; and Betty Naimey of Surfside Beach, S.C.; and her brother George Dixon and his wife Pam of Ogunquit, Maine.
Visiting hours will be held at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter Street, Newmarket on Thursday, April 30th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service, and then burial in the Newfields Cemetery.
It was Doris's wish that should friends desire memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
