Joseph Godbout Obituary
Joseph worked as an electrical engineer for many years, most of his career with Data General. Joseph loved to spend time with his family, doing many of his favorite hobbies such as poker, golfing, painting, writing, and storytelling.
He is survived by his loving wife Jeannette (Boucher) Godbout and her daughter Emily Dugas. He is also survived by his sons Stephen and wife Heidi and Jeffery Godbout, as well as his daughter Kristine Bardsley and her fiancé Frank Ciervo. He leaves behind his brother James Lawrence and his wife Diane and sister Karen and husband George Cashen. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Ian, Isaac and Kristine.
SERVICES: A calling hour will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 10-11 a.m., at Tasker Funeral Home located on 621 Central Avenue in Dover. The calling hours will be immediately followed by a funeral service at the funeral home. A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, June 18, 2017, from 12-4 p.m., at The Legion, located on 551 Foundry St., Rollinsford, N.H.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to a charity of their choice or The Dover Senior Center, Suite 224, 61 Locust St., Dover, NH, 03820, checks should be noted "In memory of Joseph Godbout". Please go to www.taskerfh.com to sign the on-line guest book.

You have been like a father to me over the past 8 years. I'll deeply miss your stories... we were the bocce champs that one summer in Maine at the family camp and it's something I'll never forget. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and listening to me and my thoughts when I needed it. I thank you for letting me into your "inner circle" and writing kris and I into your book. Sometime we take life for granted and tomorrow is promised to no one. I only hope I can leave behind a wonderful legacy as you have. We will miss you deeply

Just want to say Joe was a well loved man. Jeannette adored Joe. Brian and I played poker with the both of them. I have to say Joe made the best trophies for the winners of his poker competitions. Rest In Peace Joe.

Our deepest sympathy to Jeannette and all family members. Perry and I are beyond words to hear of Joe's passing. We will always remember how kind and funny he was and quite entertaining at parties with his dance moves. He was a very sweet but humble man. We will miss him dearly.

There are no words that I can express that will ease your sorrow over losing Joe, your Husband, your Best Friend!!! My prayers are for God to bless you with HIS strength, peace & comfort as you go thru this difficult time!!!

Dear Jim, Karen and family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Joe's passing and have spent the past several days remembering many of the good times we shared during elementary, junior high, and high school. So much comes to mind of the fun we had and of Joe's wonderful sense of humor. I can still remember his unique laugh. I know he will be greatly missed by family and friends and I offer my sincerest condolences. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
