Velma Carr Obituary
CANDIA - Velma L. Carr, 97, formerly of 133 New Boston Road, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at the Maple Leaf Healthcare Facility in Manchester.
Born Feb. 21, 1916, in Springvale, Maine, she is the daughter of the late Fred C. and Edna W. (Philpot) Glidden. Velma was an original resident of Cocheco Park in Dover and lived there for 25 years.
After many years of hard work, she enjoyed her retirement by reading, knitting, crocheting, camping with Bob and spending lots of time with her family.
Members of her family include her daughter, Rebecca Sarra and husband Frank of Candia; her granddaughter, Amy Sarra of Candia; a niece, Cynthia Riley of Wells. She is predeceased by her brother, Ray C. Glidden; her sisters; Bernice L. Vennard, Dorothy Goodwin; and her companion of many years, Robert E. Dame.
A graveside service will be held in the spring.
Cremation is under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester, NH 03867

Becky, So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. We were friends for years, starting when you were a little girl and lived on Silver St. I had lost track of her, I guess when she moved away. She was a wonderful woman, and will be in my prayers always. Her and Bob. I will miss her. My deepest sympathy to you and your family....

Velma touched my heart in a way I can't explain. Although I did not get very much time with her I enjoyed every minute of it. Rest in piece angel.

Thye residents of Cocheco Park Senior Apts fondly remember Velma Carr. We will miss dearly. She was one of favorite residents when she lived at CP.
