Barry Jones Obituary

Mr. Barry Lee Jones, 53 of Frederick, Md., died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at his home. He was the husband of Linda Hartman Jones.

Born November 26, 1951 in Frederick, Md., he was the son of Annabelle Blank Powell of Frederick, Md. and the late Hobart Leon Jones. He was also preceded in death by his step-father Richard Powell.

Barry was a member of the Elks Club of Frederick and was very active in the APA Billiard Assoc. He retired from the Chessie System and later worked at Champion Billiards.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two children, Ryan Jones and Lindsay Jones, both of Frederick; his brother, William Jones and wife Betty of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and sister, Patricia Cline and husband John of Frederick, Md. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Md. on Thursday, September 15, 2005 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where services will be held Friday, September 16, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tom Baker officiating.

Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

Contributions may be expressed to the Kennedy Kreiger Institute, for Adrenoleukodystrophy Research, 707 N. Broadway, Baltimore, MD 21205.
