Benyam Asefa Obituary
Benyam (Ben) Asefa was born on November 18 1973 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He was the son of mother Misrak Elias, and father Asefa Medhin. In addition to his parents, Ben is survived by his daughter Amelia Liyu Asefa, his 3 sisters Semra Asefa, Helina Asefa and Aida Letinic, his grandmother Etenesh Haile, his aunt Tsehay Elias, his uncles Nebiyu Elias and Bruck Elias, his nephews Zack and Josh Letinic, his brother-in-law Joe Letinic, his cousins Natie Demesew, Leshu Demesew, Nebiyu Malcolm and wife Alisa.
Barbara was born on June 3, 1971 in Siena, Italy. She was the daughter of Anna Vannuccini and the late Fosco Giomarelli. In addition to her mother, Barbara is survived by her daughter Amelia Liyu Asefa; one brother Graziano Giomarelli and sister in law Brunella Angiolini; one sister, Sabrina Giomarelli; and niece Caterina Giomarelli. We wish peace to their souls and that they rest in eternity.
Samuel was born on August 7, 2013 in Frederick, Maryland. He will be greatly missed by his loving sister, great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial gathering will take place on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 beginning at 5pm and ending at 8pm at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701. Friends will be invited to share memories.

The Bible conveys a message that death is not the end of life; it is only the body that perishes, the spirit can never die ... it continues to live. This thought brings a lot of comfort during the time of sorrow. When the heart weeps for the end of a dear one's life, the mind tells you that this is not the end, but a new beginning of the journey with God. Nonetheless, when grief over death, strikes us, it becomes difficult to be able to think rationally.
