Charles Beall Obituary

Charles Edward Beall, 74, of Mount Airy, passed away on June 3, 2023 while on vacation in Tennessee. Charlie, aka Papa, Chuckles, Chas, was born in Olney, Maryland on November 13, 1948. He grew up in Laytonsville and graduated from Gaithersburg High School in 1966. He was a master electrician and owned his own business, C.E. Beall Electrical Contractor, for 30 years before retiring in 2015.

Charlie was a jack-of-all-trades with the ability to fix most anything, and built his own home in Mount Airy, where he resided for the last 44 years. He also competitively enjoyed cornhole, tennis, and shuffleboard. As a younger man, he had a passion for drag racing and later became a classic car enthusiast. Most recently, Charlie was enjoying exploring the East Coast with his wife in their newly purchased RV. He also served as the head usher for a number of years at Calvary United Methodist Church in Mount Airy.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Clark Purdum Beall, Sr., and his mother, Anna Katherine (Thompson) Beall. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah Keesey Beall, and three daughters, Heather Michnya (Ryan), Meaghan Yoho (John), and Katie Jansen (Matt); and grandchildren, Hannah, Benjamin and Emma Michnya, and Elijah and Eleanor Jansen. He is also survived by his elder brother, Clark Beall and his wife, Rosie, and niece Mandy German (Ronnie). He will be missed by his loving extended family and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 16th at 2pm at Calvary United Methodist Church in Mount Airy, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Frederick Rescue Mission. Charles Beall

Debbie, I´m now 200 miles away but still consider Calvary and its members home and family. I always admired you and Charlie and what a fine, loving couple you were. It will be tough but remember you have lots of Calvary friends, both near and far. God is there for you and will help you get through this.
God Bless You, Barbara
