Christopher Grimshaw

1943 - 2026

Christopher Kieper Grimshaw, 83, of Naples, FL, passed away on February 27, 2026.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1943 to Katharine "Kay" Kieper and John Grimshaw, Chris was raised in Johnstown, PA, where he attended Ferndale High School. He was part of the ROTC program, a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, and received his B.S. degree in Accounting at The Pennsylvania State University.

Chris and his family made their home in Frederick, MD, where he built a respected career as a Certified Public Accountant. He opened his own accounting firm in Frederick and dedicated himself to his clients and community until suffering a stroke in 1986. Even after his retirement, Chris remained active and generous with his time, serving for many years at church and volunteering at Frederick Memorial Hospital. In 2001, Chris and his wife relocated to Naples, FL, where they enjoyed their retirement years together.

A devoted alumnus and member of Sigma Phi Epsilon at Penn State, Chris was an avid fan of Penn State football and attended many games as a proud member of the Nittany Lion Club. Above all, he was an inspiring and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Christine; his son Mark Grimshaw of Naples, FL; his son Luke Grimshaw and wife Emily of Frederick, MD; his cherished grandchildren, Alyson, Asher, and Penn; and his brother, Gregory Dovey, and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Heather.
