Daniel Moore Obituary

Daniel J. Moore Sr., 85, of Frederick MD passed away on Tuesday July 9, 2024 at Citizens Care Center. He was born on November 9, 1938, in Frederick MD and was the son of the late Urban W. Moore, Sr. and the late Kathleen M. Moore.

Danny enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, woodworking, and working at Haverhill Contracting.

He is survived by three sons, Daniel J. Moore, Jr. and wife Lisa, Patrick A. Moore and fiance Tracy, and Urban W. Moore and wife Tami; one daughter, Julie A. Stephens and husband Robert; thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Danny also leaves behind sisters, Kathleen Hall, Patricia Meunier, Ora Gaver, and Delia Coulby; brother, Thaddeus Moore; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Moore, granddaughter, Dawn Moore; brothers, Urban Moore, William Moore and Allen Moore; sister, Marilyn Etzler.

The family will receive friends from 1-4 pm on Sunday July 14, 2024, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday July 15, 2024, at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 East Second Street, Frederick MD. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Saint Jude's Children Research Hospital, 4141 N. Henderson Rd, Suite 3, Arlington, VA 22203. Daniel Moore
