Ian Miles Obituary
Born on May 15, 1972, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late William Edward and Sharon Lee (Spahr) Miles.
Ian was a 1990 graduate of Walkersville High School. He most recently worked for his family business Frederick Tile, Inc. as a flooring mechanic. He worked with special friend, Skip, in many locations in Ocean City, MD and Easton, MD doing flooring projects. In his spare time, Ian, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, traveling, and golfing. Ian had the most love for his macaw "Fez" which he would take everywhere he could.
He is survived by his sister, Aran Wolfe and husband Michael, niece Kristen Wolfe and fiance Wes Fritz; great niece, Karsynn Fritz, nephews, Bradley Wolfe and fiancee Kelly Sheilds, Travis Miles, and Jack Miles; favorite beloved cousin, Kelle Yingling and numerous, aunts, uncles, and other cousins. He will also be missed by special friends, Neil, Matt, Billy, Bill, Louise Poffenbarger, Paul Palak, Clarence Tipton, Skip Ebaugh, Wayne Lawson and Ian's companion, Kerri Curran.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Sean Miles, his grandparents, and a cousin.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm on ,Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD where a celebration of Ian's life journey will take place at 7 pm. Rev. Tim May will officiate. Interment will be private.

I first met Ian on a game night in Kerri´s Dad place in Florida. His sense of humor was subtle a bit dry like mine and I knew we were to be friends. His love of life inspired me & others to be better, enjoying life to the fullest. Grateful that Kerri & Ian generously shared their laughter and their love with their Florida family/friends. Our hearts are saddened for Kerri, Jerry and his family & friends in Maryland. He will be missed.

I´m so very sorry. My heart felt condolences to Kerri and Jerry. Damn, I guess I´ll now have to learn how to throw a cast net to feed Phil and Fred! He will be missed by all of us. My thoughts and prayers for all Ian´s family in this sad time.

Ian was like a son to me. He was part of our family. I was so excited when Ian proposed to Kerri and thought he would really be family. I will miss all the times we spent fishing and boating.

We so looked forward to Ian and Kerri's visits to Florida! They rolled in with fun and adventure, generosity and a willingness to help anyone- Ian once spent hours helping me put windshield wipers on my car. Ian was affectionate to his "pop" Jerry and he loved Kerri. It's rare when a man can be so open about love, but Ian didn't care. It was fun to witness their love (and banter). We are going to miss him and the fishing on the dock, the dancing, and the good eating. I am so sorry he is gone so soon. And, I am sending big hugs and love to his family and friends, and to Kerri and her kids and Jerry. My heart is broken for you Kerri.
