Kevin Miller Obituary
Kevin was a devoted husband and loving father. His greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly A. Miller; three children: Austin, Skyyler Marie, and Lexi Shea; his parents, Patricia and Edward P. Miller; his siblings Theresa and William (Tac) Eckenrode, Sharon and Joe Bass, Edward (Peter) and Susie Miller; Joseph and Margo Miller and five nieces and nephews; and in-laws Debbie and Tommy Troxler, grandparent in-laws Walter Phillips and Beverly Runion, and brother in-law William Troxler.
Kevin owned his own lawn care business, but he is best known for the many years he worked at the Red Rooster with his mom and dad. He started helping out when he was eight, and in time he became a partner, manager and was known as the best short order cook in Damascus. With all his hard work, he still managed to give his customers a good laugh every day.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Damascus Volunteer Fire Dept. Activities Building, 10211 Lewis Drive, Damascus, Md. where friends may gather from 10 am, until services begin at 12 noon. Inurnment will follow in All Souls Cemetery, Brink Road, Germantown, Md. Following inurnment services friends and relatives are invited back to a reception at the Damascus Fire Dept. Activities Building.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kevin Miller Family Education Fund, in care of Damascus Community Bank, 26500 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD 20872.

I am a neighbor on gue rd and a frequent red rooster patron.I am so sorry for your loss as kevin and I both spoke frequently when I was in; about our daughters and he always made fun of me about a cell phone on my ear. I spent my share of time in high school behind the counter of Red Rooster with Kevin at the grill. He was always such a happy, fun person. My heartfelt sympathy to Pete & Pat, and to Kevin's wife and children. Such a huge loss to such a close community.

Kevin's death came as a shock to us. Even though I did not have a personal relationship with Kevin, Kathy has fond memories of babysitting the Miller kids and falling asleep on your couch. She said "the kids were very good but Pat and Pete would stay out so late". You have such a beautiful family, truly Kevin will be missed.
As you know Doug died just after his son was born so we also know the grief you are going through.
My prayer is that God's grace and mercy will get you through. My heart aches for you and the family,

I'm so sorry for the loss of Kevin. He was a special person. I have fond memories growing up in our old neighborhood. I always felt close to Kev even if it was years between seeing each other. I'm not sure these words will resonate so close to his departure, but I will share them with you just as well.
