Michael McLeod Obituary
Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a concrete mixer driver for Genstar for most of his life. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends most of all. He was a lifetime Baltimore Orioles and Oakland Raiders fan. He belonged to the Francis Scott Key American Legion Post #11 and the Amvets Post #2.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his only son Justin Michael McLeod, siblings Robert McLeod and wife Frances, Ronnie McLeod and wife Shirley, and Barbara Palermino, in-laws Sandy and Bob Vorlaufer, Ronnie and Sharon Gartrell, Dana and Brian White, and his special mother-in-law Libby Gartrell. He was preceded in death by brother Phill McLeod and sisters Judi McLeod, Joyce Dennis, and Millie Ziegler. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors and friends. He will be especially missed by his "Granddog" Louie.
A memorial to honor Michael's life will be held at a later date.

Mike was a very good friend. Back in the early 80's I joined ready-mix. On my very first job I messed up. During that time the radio systems was set up so everyone could hear everything going on. Needless to say they heard what happened to me. There was a lot of laughter and carrying on because of it. They sent Mike out to the job site to see what could be done with the load. Like Mike he told me, everybody makes mistakes. In my case everybody heard it. He told me to learn from my mistakes and don't do it again. He helped me more and taught me more in the ready mix than anybody. He was special and should have been a teacher. He will be greatly missed! Ps. I'm sorry I lost contact with him! Cupcake

We were shocked and saddened to learn of Mike's passing. I first met Mike when his Dad worked at Watson's. Mike was a good neighbor. Take comfort in family and friends during this difficult time

Dawn and family,
Our condolences to you and the family on the loss of Mike. My Dad, Charles Baugher has very fond memories of breakfasts and other functions at the Civic with Mike. I was younger and didn't know Mike as well. I knew Phil growing up but Dawn I am so sorry for your loss. Hold onto the memories and they will help you through the loss.

I knew Mike when I was a kid playing junior league baseball for Shookstown in the mid late 60s. His Dad Duke coached and his brother Rob and him helped out. Mike was always a free wheeling fun loving guy. My condolences to his family.

I know that you don't know me or my mother, but our family was extremely close to the McLeods when the boys were growing up.
