Nancy Etchison Obituary

Mrs. Nancy Cannon Etchison, 89, died Thursday, June 21, at Edenton in Frederick.

She was the wife of the late Clarence Hampton Etchison.

Born June 4, 1912, in Ellicott City, she was a daughter of the late Henry Warner and Margaret Marie Chambers Lord.

Mrs. Etchison was a member of St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Clarksville.

Surviving are three sons, Clarence B. Etchison of Frederick, William Lee Etchison of Thurmont, and Robert H. Etchison of Lake Logan, Ohio; six daughters, Nancy Newcomer of Pennsylvania, R. Clarice Roff of Frederick, Margaret Hill of Virginia, Patricia Klaas of Missouri, Ann Etchison of Pittsville, and Dianne Luthy of Cambridge; one sister, Frances Spence of Bushwood; one brother, Eugene Lord of Hagerstown; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, where Christian wake services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Clarksville, with the Rev. Greg Ferri, associate pastor of the church, as the celebrant.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.
