Nancy Swope Obituary

Nancy D. Swope, 95, of Fayetteville, PA passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Paramount Senior Living. She was born on January 26, 1928 in Gaithersburg, Maryland to the late Lawrence J. and Arlene (Johnston) Darby. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her spouses Raymond L. Hall and Irvin Swope. Nancy was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Gaithersburg, MD, as well as a member of the Master Gardeners Club, she enjoyed traveling, playing cards and going to shows. She is survived by her son, John L. Hall and daughter in law Terrie L. Hall, step son Mark Swope, his wife Robin, and their children, Brett and Alex Swope. Friends will be received at Harman Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at which time a funeral service will be held. Nancy was a dear woman and we enjoyed having her in our home often. She was a dear friend to Grandpa Van Gilder and they enjoyed many happy times together doing puzzles and going out to dinner. We will miss lovely Nancy.
