Phyllis Albright

1954 - 2015

Mrs. Phyllis Louise Gastley Albright, 60, of Frederick, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Thursday, April 9, 2015. She was the loving wife of Garry L. Albright, they were married for 43 years. Born in Frederick, on September 27, 1954, she was a daughter of the late John and Phylis Shewbridge Gastley.

Phyllis was a graduate of Thomas Johnson High School Class of 1972. She had worked at Weis Market's and the Urbana Elementary School until her illness. She had been attending the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and she was an avid Redskins fan.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Gary Albright and wife Sabrina, Shane Albright and wife Pam, she was the proud grandmother to Tori Albright, in which she cherished and loved so dearly, a step granddaughter, Stacy Baker, five brothers, Charles Gastley and wife Sarah, Paul Gastley and wife Gail, Jay Gastley, Earl Gastley and wife Bonnie and Wayne Gastley and wife Vicki, three sisters, Janice Wheeler, Judith Stine and husband Allen, and Debra Rhoderick, sister-in-law, Catherine Hackley and husband Bobby, and brother-in-law, Marshall Albright, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers,

John Gastley, Jr., Gerald Gastley and Gary Gastley, brothers-in-law, Gary Rhoderick, Chris Albright and sister-in-law, Linda Shumaker.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and caregivers, who helped to take care of Phyllis during her illness and also a special thanks to Urbana Elementary School for all the loving support.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, April 13, 2015, at the funeral home. The Rev. Mark A. G. Huffman and Rev. Tim. May, will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

Pallbearers will be: Gary Albright, Shane Albright, Jeff Gastley, Allen Gastley, Barry Gastley, Doug Owens and Keith Haller.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1415 West Seventh Street, Frederick, MD 21702.
