Donald Leroy Albright

Donald Leroy Albright, of Seaford, Delaware, passed away on March 19, 2026. He was born on March 4, 1952, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Melvin and Margaret Albright.

At the age of three, Donald moved with his family to Trenton, New Jersey, where he was raised and spent most of his life. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Levittown, Pennsylvania, before joining the United States Army and serving in Vietnam.

Donald will be remembered as a loving, kind and fun-spirited man who would do anything for anyone. He had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures-he enjoyed collecting coins, fishing, and working on puzzles. A true handyman, Donald was always busy fixing something or taking on home improvement projects, often lending his skills to help others. He cherished his family deeply, especially his nieces and nephews, many of whom he helped raise and guide over the years.

He was an active member of the Moose Lodge, VFW, and Elks Lodge, where he enjoyed working bingo nights and taking on various odd jobs to stay busy and connected to his community.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Albright, and his siblings, Margaret Custer, William Albright, and Robert Albright.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Kathy Albright; his daughter, Sheri Albright; his grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa, and Austin; his great-grandchildren, Ava, Amayah, and Grayson; his sister, Patricia Hollender; his best buddy, Jamie Betts; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine Street, Seaford, Delaware, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. John's UMC, Seaford, DE.
