Benjamin Flint Obituary

Benjamin R. Flint Sr.

Benjamin Roy Flint Sr., 68, of Rhoadesville died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredricksburg.

Born Feb. 3, 1945, in Vancouver, Wash., he was the son of the late Ernest Arthur and Mildred Randall Flint. Mr. Flint was a retired police officer and member of the Orange Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mollie E. Flint of Rhoadesville; daughter Kristen Plaugher and husband Michael of Woodbridge; sons Benjamin R. "Ben" Flint Jr. and wife Nicole of Rhoadesville and Michael R. Flint and wife Doreea of Spotsylvania County; grandchildren Ashlyn, Michael and Kailyn Plaugher and Kaeli Flint; brother Joseph F. Flint; and a sister, Betty Ruth Flint.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m Monday, Nov. 4, at Preddy Funeral Home, 250 W. Main Street, Orange.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Orange Assembly of God Church, with interment to follow at 1 p.m. in Culpeper National Cemetery. Pastor Greg Vogt will officiate.

The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in his name to Orange Assembly of God Church, Box 205, Orange, VA 22960.

Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
