Bessie Wheeler Lloyd, born September 28, 1930, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at the age of 94. She was the beloved daughter of Ennis and Ruby Wheeler and was predeceased by her husband, Woodrow Lloyd.
Bessie was known for her deep love of flowers and gardening, and for the warmth she brought into every home-cooked meal. Her country cooking-especially her green beans fresh from the garden-was a comfort and joy to many. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and her love for her family was constant and unwavering.
She was a loyal friend-always willing to lend a hand, offer support, or show up when someone needed her. Her kindness and quiet strength touched many lives.
Bessie is survived by her daughter, Ellen Lloyd Limburg of Warrenton, Virginia; her son, Paul Allen Lloyd and his wife, Sue Lloyd, of Suffolk, Virginia; her granddaughter, Christina Padrick and her husband, Charles "Chuck" Padrick of Suffolk, Virginia; and her three great-granddaughters, Callie Padrick, Courtney Padrick, and Chelsea Padrick, all residing in Suffolk, Virginia.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and simple joys that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
