Bryan Owens Obituary

Bryan Dean "Bud" Owens

Bryan Dean "Bud" Owens, 36, left his Earthly home and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, January 16, 2022.

Bryan's beautiful laugh and personality were contagious. His great loves include all of his family, especially his two sons, hunting, sports, and anything outdoors. He was a diehard Cowboys fan. Bryan played football and baseball for the Spotsylvania High School Knights and coached youth baseball for his boys for many years. He never missed a game. Bryan was a hard worker and a friend to all. Bryan was a member of Travelers Rest Baptist Church. He will truly be missed.

Bryan is survived by his sons, Austin and Trevor; mother Debbie Owens; sister Christina Owens; and lifelong companion and mother of his children, Andrea Boggs. He is also survived by two nieces, Kinlee and Kilee Stokes; grandparents John and Barbara Hill; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and valued friends.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Dean Owens; grandfather E.C. Owens; grandparents Bernie and Marie Simmons; uncle Mike Simmons; cousin Cameron Strauser; and childhood friend Christopher "Opie" Gibson.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Talley, Larry Boggs, Gary Shiflett, Eric Stanley, Tracey Curtis, Corey Claxton, Andrew Davis, and Jeff Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
