Cassandra Jeter Obituary
Cassandra Ann Jeter, 53 was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 surrounded by her family and close friends. Cassandra, affectionately called 'Sandy' was born on October 24, 1969 to James W. King and Lourene E. Payne. Sandy was preceded in death by son, Eric Anthony King and stepfather, Bernard Payne. Sandy was a 1987 graduate of Caroline High School. After high school, Sandy married and spent her life raising her children, being the best mother and grandmother, she could be. Before relocating to Spotsylvania County, Sandy worked for Caroline County School System as a school bus aide for children with special needs. Sandy worked at 'Thrill of the Hunt' in Ashland giving worn or vintage furniture, new life. Sandy loved and was very skilled at upholstering furniture. She enjoyed seeing furniture go from, "funky to fabulous". Her expertise awarded multiple opportunities for elite organizations in Washington, D.C. Sandy leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted daughter, Erica (Christopher Martinez) of Spotsylvania; one loving son, Brian (Kaitlin) of Fredericksburg; her parents, James W. King (Teresa) of King & Queen, and Lourene E. Payne of Milford; one grandson, Jordin Thomas Anthony King of PA; granddaughters, Brielle, Lindsey and Emma Jeter of Fredericksburg, Heaven Morris, Janisa Alicea of PA; brothers, James A. King (Debbie), Steven King and Michael King; special friends, Kenya Covington of PA and Al and Anita Ware of Milford and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Sandy was my neighbor and was a truly sweet person. I enjoyed our chats and my granddaughter would play with her granddaughters. I am so sorry for the loss. To Erica and the family, I am so sorry, Sandy will never be forgotten. Thoughts and prayers for comfort during this time, are being sent to you and your family.
